Educational

Not even the fire was able to keep the National Museum away from the public. Through the Teaching Assistance Section (SAE), the institution continues to carry out inclusive and transformative activities in Museum Education, stimulating interest in science and sharing knowledge.

MUSEU NACIONAL VIVE AT SCHOOLS

Exchanging knowledge with the entire school community and disseminating science are the objectives of the project, which, in 2019 alone, reached around 9,000 students from Rio de Janeiro’ schools.

MEETINGS WITH THE COMMUNITY

National Museum’s proposal is to gather people at Quinta da Boa Vista, holding outdoor meetings and didactic collection exhibitions, besides exploring several topics! This is the proposal of the National Museum on Quinta..

YOUNG SCIENTISTS CLUB

Fieldwork, visits to laboratories and contact with the Museum’s collections help to form the new generation of scientists! The Young Scientists Club brings together students from the municipal network and was one of those awarded with the 9th Ibermuseum Education Award.

SUPPORT TO EDUCATORS

The National Museum continues to be present in everyday school life by the loan of teaching material. In 2019 alone, more than 1,200 specimens from the Museum helped to make classes in Rio de Janeiro schools even more interesting.
