SEPTEMBER 3th, 2018

– The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) issues a note guaranteeing the redirection of a contract signed in June 2018 with the Friends of the National Museum Association (SAMN), in the amount of R$ 21.7 million, for rebuilding the Museum.

– UNESCO Director, Audrey Azoulay, puts the UN agency at the disposal of the Brazilian authorities.

– Rossieli Soares, Minister of Education at the time, announces the immediate transfer of R$ 10 million for emergency works.

– Quinta da Boa Vista got crowded with UFRJ students and Rio de Janeiro’s population in an act for the Museum rebuilding.
